Sun City Community Election—Apply for Board of Directors by August 7 The 2026 Sun City Community Election will be held November 2–6. Consider serving your community by running for election!

There is one Board of Directors position up for election this year, and 34 neighborhoods will vote for Neighborhood Representative (NR) and Alternate Neighborhood Representative (ANR). The deadline to apply for the Board of Director position is Friday, August 7 at 3 p.m. at Palmetto Commons. Candidate application packets are available online at the Sun City Election page. Hard copies are available at Palmetto Commons and Spanish Moss Hall.

Annual Resident Information Update—Check Your Inbox The annual Resident Information Update has been sent via email, and Resident Services staff appreciates all the responses received so far. Please check your inbox. If your birthday is in August and you have not received the email, please check your spam or junk folder. If we are unable to reach you by email, a copy of the request will be mailed to the mailing address on file with the Association.

Just a reminder that the Association will be sending these out at the end of the month before your birthday month every year.

Jameson's Charhouse New Hours of Operation Effective Monday, August 3, Jameson's Charhouse will begin the following new hours of operation:

• Dining Room and Bar: Closed on Mondays • Dining Room and Bar: Open Tuesday–Sunday from 11 a.m.–8 p.m.

Common Area Treatments This Week The Greenery will apply a pest preventative to common areas at the following schedule:

• Monday, August 3: New River Sports Park, Veterans Memorial Field and Red Dam Road • Tuesday, August 4: Town Square and Palmetto Commons • Wednesday, August 5: Hidden Cypress and The Clubhouse at Okatie Creek • Thursday, August 6: Del Webb Boulevard, Sun City Lane and Sgt. William Jasper Boulevard • Friday, August 7: Riverbend

Residents and pets should remain off all treated areas for 48 hours. Signs will be posted in treated areas.

Pool Improvements Begin Next Week As part of the Association's continued commitment to enhancing the resident experience, work to upgrade equipment at Sun City pools will begin next week. Barataria outdoor pool will be closed from August 10–23 for work to be completed. During this time, children's pool hours will be relocated to Riverbend pool. Click here for more information.

Coming Soon: North Main Gate Road Resurfacing Project To help maintain and improve the community's infrastructure, road resurfacing at the North Main Gate is tentatively scheduled to begin in mid-August, weather permitting. A confirmed start date will be shared when the contractor's schedule is finalized. Click here for more information.
