Beaufort County received a Notice of Delay and Differing Site Conditions from Fraser Construction due to the required proximity of the Transmission lines. The vertical separation required does not provide enough clearance to install the necessary sewer line. The project team, including the contractor, engineer and county staff, met to determine options for a path forward. The team also met with regulatory staff to discuss required permit changes and is coordinating with BJWSA on seeking approval with the proposed plan adjustment. Once approved, Fraser Construction will be able to resume construction activities. We expect the contractor will resume work in two weeks. Staff will continue to move the project forward in the meantime and coordinate with BJWSA on a proposed flow fill solution.
As a reminder, this project is funded by the Bluffton Township Fire department and Beaufort County, not the Sun City Hilton Head Community Association.
2027 Hidden Cypress Golf Course Renovation Wadsworth Golf Construction will begin renovating the Hidden Cypress Golf Course in January. Troon will continue to oversee the day-to-day operations and maintenance of all three Sun City Hilton Head golf courses. Their role is not changing. Click here for more information.
