CourtReserve Help Desk Sessions Friday, August 28 4–6 p.m., Lakehouse, Bayside Room The Pickleball Club is hosting Help Desk sessions to teach residents how to use the new reservation system, CourtReserve. This system will replace the Chelsea reservation system when booking a pickleball court. CourtReserve will take effect on Monday, August 31.
Bocce Ball Court Upgrades Beginning Monday, August 31, the Sun City West Bocce Ball Courts will be temporarily closed for upgrades based on feedback from residents.
The Developer will be making improvements to bring these courts more in line with the playing surface and quality of our other bocce facilities. Work will include: • Removing the existing crushed oyster shell surface • Regrading and improving the court base • Installing new bocce artificial turf • Adding green sand ballast and grooming the surface for optimal play • Adjusting curbs and eliminating any gaps or voids around the courts
We appreciate your patience while these improvements are completed and look forward to providing an enhanced bocce experience for our residents.
October Event Ticket Sales Tickets for October events will go on sale Wednesday, September 2 at 8 a.m. online and at Lifestyle Services in Palmetto Commons.

Labor Day Office Closure Community Association administrative offices will be closed Monday, September 7 in observance of Labor Day. Sun City fitness centers will follow normal operating hours.
Sun City Election: NR and ANR Information Sessions Tuesday, September 8 at 6 p.m. at Pinckney Hall, Edisto Room Wednesday, September 9 at 6 p.m. in Spanish Moss Hall, Hollow Room The 2026 Sun City Community Election will be held November 2-6. Candidates for 34 Neighborhood Representative (NR) and Alternate Neighborhood Representative (ANR) positions will be on the ballots. Interested candidates are encouraged to attend one of the Election Subcommittee's information sessions to learn the responsibilities of these positions and their importance to Sun City. You will have an opportunity to ask questions about what is expected if you choose to serve.
NR/ANR applications are available on the Election page of the community website. Hard copies are available at Palmetto Commons and Spanish Moss Hall. Applications are due by Wednesday, October 7 at 3 p.m. at Palmetto Commons.
Life Under the Sun Event Ticket Sales Get ready for the Life Under the Sun celebration, taking place October 3–7! Life Under the Sun ticketed events will go on sale Wednesday, September 9 at 8 a.m. online and at Lifestyle Services in Palmetto Commons. Click here for the full event lineup.
Pre-Register for Life Under the Sun Fitness Events Be sure to pre-register for the free Health and Wellness events during Life Under the Sun, including Sunrise Yoga, the Fitness Walk on the Golf Course and the Group Fitness Expo. Pre-registration is open from Wednesday, September 9 through Wednesday, September 30 online or at any fitness center.
Survey for New Offerings from Health and Wellness The Health and Wellness department is seeking feedback on offering afternoon fitness classes. Click here to take the survey.
September SunSations Available Online The September issue of SunSations is now available online. Look for a hard copy of the magazine coming soon to your mailbox. Find the official Notice of Election with important dates regarding the upcoming Community Election. Then, preview the full event lineup for the sixth annual Life Under the Sun celebration. Common Area Treatment The Greenery will apply a pest preventative at Veterans Memorial Field, the Sports Complex and Red Dam Road on Monday, August 31. Residents and pets should remain off all treated areas for 48 hours. Signs will be posted in treated areas.
Pool Improvements Underway Purrysburg indoor pool is closed through Friday, September 4 for work to be completed as part of the pool improvements project. Work on the Barataria pool (Purrysburg outdoor) has been completed. Click here for more information.North Main Gate Road Resurfacing Project To help maintain and improve the community's infrastructure, road resurfacing at the North Main Gate is scheduled to begin Tuesday, September 8, weather permitting.
What to Expect North Gate Road will be milled and resurfaced with new asphalt to provide a smoother, safer driving surface. The project is anticipated to take approximately two weeks to complete.
Most resurfacing activities will occur during evening hours to reduce impacts on residents and traffic. Some curb repairs will need to be completed during daytime hours.
After the milling process, the roadway will temporarily be rough and uneven until the final asphalt surface is installed. Traffic control personnel and signage will be in place to help guide motorists safely through the work zone.Stay Prepared During Hurricane Season We are entering prime time for hurricane activity, so make sure you're prepared!
