Pool Improvements Underway Barataria outdoor pool is closed through Sunday, August 23 for work to be completed. The pool will reopen Monday, August 24. During this time, the children's pool hours originally scheduled for Barataria will be relocated to Riverbend pool. Work on the Purrysburg indoor pool will begin Monday, August 24 through Friday, September 4. Click here for more information.
CourtReserve Help Desk Sessions Thursday, August 27 4–6 p.m., Lakehouse, Bayside Room Friday, August 28 4–6 p.m., Lakehouse, Bayside Room The Pickleball Club is hosting Help Desk sessions to teach residents how to use the new reservation system, CourtReserve. This system will replace the Chelsea reservation system when booking a pickleball court. CourtReserve will take effect on Monday, August 31.

Sidewalk Restructuring on Lake Somerset Drive Underway Work is in progress to improve a section of the walking path connecting Lake Somerset Drive to the existing concrete walkway along Lake Somerset. This project includes removing worn and damaged asphalt and replacing it with concrete, which provides a more durable surface, is easier to maintain, and stays cooler during the summer months. As part of the improvement an additional concrete area is being added which will enhance the space when we have entertainment with our Live by the Lake events.
This project is expected to be completed by the end of the week, weather permitting. Residents are encouraged to use caution when traveling through the area and follow any posted signage for their safety.Utility Locations on Del Webb Blvd Utility locations are being identified at the Del Webb Boulevard and Hwy. 170 intersection in advance of a drainage project at inbound and outbound lanes. Drains and pipes will be installed to facilitate rainwater runoff and alleviate sustained ponding. The project will commence later this week and is weather dependent. There will be little to no impact to traffic. Please use caution while in the area.North Main Gate Road Resurfacing Project To help maintain and improve the community's infrastructure, road resurfacing at the North Main Gate is scheduled to begin Tuesday, September 8, weather permitting.
What to Expect North Gate Road will be milled and resurfaced with new asphalt to provide a smoother, safer driving surface. The project is anticipated to take approximately two weeks to complete.
Most resurfacing activities will occur during evening hours to reduce impacts on residents and traffic. Some curb repairs will need to be completed during daytime hours.
After the milling process, the roadway will temporarily be rough and uneven until the final asphalt surface is installed. Traffic control personnel and signage will be in place to help guide motorists safely through the work zone.Stay Prepared During Hurricane Season We are entering prime time for hurricane activity, so make sure you're prepared!
