Sun City Community Election – Board Candidate Applications Due Aug. 7 The 2026 Sun City Community Election will be held November 2–6. Consider serving your community by running for election! Click here to read about this year's open positions in the August issue of SunSations.

U.S. Senate Republican Primary Special Election Notice Per the Board of Elections, Sun City residents living Beaufort County will vote at Pinckney Hall for the U.S. Senate Republican Primary Special Election on Tuesday, August 11. Residents living in Jasper County will vote at the Lakehouse. Common Area Treatment The Greenery will apply a pest preventative to common areas in Riverbend on Friday, August 7. Residents and pets should remain off all treated areas for 48 hours. Signs will be posted in treated areas.Pool Improvements Begin Next Week As part of the Association's continued commitment to enhancing the resident experience, work to upgrade equipment at Sun City pools will begin next week.
Barataria outdoor pool will be closed from August 10–23 for work to be completed. During this time, the children's pool hours will be relocated to Riverbend pool. Click here for more information.
Handi-Cap Pool Lift Orientation Thursday, August 13 at Noon at the Breakwater Indoor Pool Join the Health and Wellness Department for a brief informational orientation on the Handi-Cap Pool Lift. This session will provide an overview of the lift's features, safety procedures and proper operation to help ensure a safe and comfortable experience for all users.Palmetto Electric Fiber Optics Upgrade Palmetto Electric is starting its communication fiber optics upgrade installation project as early as next week. The objective is to increase coverage and reliability.
A contractor will complete the project under the supervision of Palmetto Electric. The contractor's vehicles will be identified as "Contractor for Palmetto Electric."
Work will be performed Monday through Friday. There will be no work done on weekends or done at night. Sun City residents can expect to see boring and a lot of digging. There is no estimated end date for this project as work is weather dependent.
Friendly Reminder: Guest Use of Community Facilities and Pools As we enjoy the busy summer season, this is a friendly reminder about guest use of community facilities, especially the pools. Residents are able to share these amenities with family and friends, and the association appreciates everyone's help in making each visit smooth, safe and enjoyable.
Pool Check-In Reminder • Residents and guests should check in at the pool or fitness center desk before entering the pool area. • There is no charge for guests to use the pools. • Guest ID cards are free and may be obtained at any fitness center. • A Pool Monitor is available to help during Children's Hours at the Breakwater outdoor pool for guest check-in and any pool related questions. Please look for the Sun City tent as shown below.
Guest ID Card Guidelines • Guests aged 16 or older may use community facilities, including pools during operational hours, without their resident host if they have a valid guest ID card. • If a guest aged 16 or older is accompanied by their resident host, a guest ID card is not required. • Guests aged 15 or younger must be accompanied by their resident host at all times and do not need a guest ID card.
Resident Responsibility Residents are responsible for making sure their guests understand and follow community rules while using the facilities. Association staff and Security may conduct random guest ID card checks to help ensure compliance.

Millennium Bridge Safety Reminder To help enhance safety for everyone who uses the Millennium Bridge, surveillance cameras have recently been installed. As the community continues to grow, these added safety measures will help promote a safer environment for residents and visitors alike.
The bridge's narrow lanes and reduced speed make it especially important for all users to remain alert and courteous. With automobiles, golf carts and bicycles sharing the roadway, everyone plays a role in keeping the bridge safe. Please remember that passing is not permitted on the bridge. Violations may be reported to Security for review.
By exercising patience, we can ensure the Millennium Bridge remains a safe and enjoyable passage for everyone.
North Main Gate Road Resurfacing Project To help maintain and improve the community's infrastructure, road resurfacing at the North Main Gate is tentatively scheduled to begin in mid-August, weather permitting. A confirmed start date will be shared as soon as the contractor's schedule is finalized.
What to Expect North Gate Road will be milled and resurfaced with new asphalt to provide a smoother, safer driving surface. The project is anticipated to take approximately two weeks to complete.
Most resurfacing activities will occur during evening hours to reduce impacts on residents and traffic. Some curb repairs will need to be completed during daytime hours.
After the milling process, the roadway will temporarily be rough and uneven until the final asphalt surface is installed. Traffic control personnel and signage will be in place to help guide motorists safely through the work zone.
We appreciate your patience and understanding as we complete these improvements. The Association's goal is to enhance the quality and longevity of this important entrance road while minimizing inconvenience to residents. Additional updates will be provided as they become available.
Annual Resident Information Update—Hitting Your Inbox The annual Resident Information Update is hitting inboxes now, and Resident Services staff appreciates all the responses received so far. Please check your inbox. If your birthday is in August and you have not received the email, please check your spam or junk folder. If staff is unable to reach you by email, a copy of the request will be mailed to the mailing address on file with the Association.
Just a reminder that the Association will be sending these out at the end of the month before your birthday month every year.

• Dining Room and Bar: Closed on Mondays • Dining Room and Bar: Open Tuesday–Sunday from 11 a.m.–8 p.m.
