Hi, I am [resident]. I am running for the Sun City Hilton Head Board of Directors.

During the week of November 2-6 you can have your voice heard by electing a Sun City resident to the Board of Directors. It is important to vote, so be sure to look for voting instructions in eNews Weekly and The Week Ahead, or visit theElectionwebpage on the community website.

We all care about our home and future lifestyle in Sun City Hilton Head and the friendships, neighbors and amenities that make this community exceptional. Yet, it seems to me that our past and future growth should not diminish the lifestyle we all came here to enjoy. We need to change and adapt to our growth. "To improve is to change. To be perfect is to change often."

As a Board member, I would focus on the following priorities:

Protect the Sun City Lifestyle. Continued growth should not diminish the lifestyle residents came here to enjoy. We should study the capacity and access to our facilities to ensure that residents are not crowded out.
Responsible Financial Stewardship. Sun City has substantial reserves and a strong financial foundation, but our growing community is placing greater demand on our facilities, which will need to be expanded. We should also pursue revenue sources beyond Sun City to ease pressure on annual assessments, extend the useful life of our assets and strengthen capital reserves to accommodate bigger crowds.
Good Governance. Good governance begins with transparency. Board transparency has improved significantly since I moved here in 2022, but I believe it can be better, including more detail about its decisions. Residents should understand what was decided, how the decision was reached, what was debated and why.
Plan for Growth, Protect Residents. Consistent with our 2026 Strategic Plan, long-range planning should address amenities, traffic, pedestrian and bicycle safety, lighting and infrastructure alongside capital needs.

My experience would enable me to contribute meaningfully to the Board and the broader Sun City community. I hold an MBA in Finance and have served in senior leadership roles as a CFO, COO, CMO, and turnaround and litigation consultant. My experience spans finance, operations, marketing, budgeting, contracting and capital planning. I have experience in homeowners association (HOA) management as president of two other HOAs. I have also worked directly with boards and board members of both publicly traded companies and small private firms.

I am ready to serve if the people of Sun City choose me for the Board.
