Sun City Network Update: Key Facts for Residents
- The investigation is ongoing. The Association is still working with cybersecurity and forensic specialists to determine the full nature and scope of the event.
- It has NOT been determined that your personal information was affected. The investigation is continuing to determine what specific information, if any, may have been impacted.
- You will be contacted directly if you are affected. If the investigation determines that sensitive information pertaining to you was impacted, you will receive notification and information regarding any recommended next steps.
- Online payment options remain secure and operational. Residents may continue making Association payments through the available online payment options.
- There is currently no evidence that eTrak was exposed. eTrak, which is used for CAM cards, is a third-party platform outside the Sun City Hilton Head network.
- The payment drop box continues to be available. Payments are being collected and forwarded for processing. Please include your payment coupon with these payments to expedite processing.
- Resident services are restored. Palmetto Commons has reopened with services returning following the temporary system limitations.
- Law enforcement has been notified. The matter has been reported to federal law enforcement, and the Association is cooperating with the investigation.
- Additional updates will be provided when there is meaningful information to share. Because the investigation is active, some answers may not yet be available.
