An Update on the 2027 Hidden Cypress Renovation
As the Association prepares for the renovation of Hidden Cypress Golf Course beginning in January 2027, we also have an exciting opportunity to refresh and reimagine the dining experience at the Hidden Cypress clubhouse.
With the upcoming golf course closure and other considerations, the current restaurant provider requested a modification to the existing agreement that removes Jameson's Charhouse at Hidden Cypress from the contract. Jameson's Charhouse will close on Thursday, December 31.
We want to be clear that this change was requested by the provider. We are very pleased that the partnership with the restaurant provider will continue at The Clubhouse at Okatie Creek and AL's Pub at Argent Lakes, and we greatly appreciate their continued commitment to serving the Sun City Hilton Head community.
As the Board of Directors and Association Management considered what comes next for Hidden Cypress, we reached out to other restaurant providers to explore their interest in operating the location. Those providers ultimately chose not to pursue the opportunity. Rather than simply replacing one operator with another, we see this transition as an opportunity to step back, take a fresh look at the space and create an experience that better serves the community for the future.
While Hidden Cypress is closed for its golf course renovation, the restaurant will also undergo a renovation and refresh. We are excited to be working with RealFood, a national hospitality consulting company, to help us rethink the facility and overall dining experience.
Our vision is to create more than just a place to enjoy a meal. We want it to be a welcoming, comfortable gathering place where residents can meet friends, catch up with neighbors, enjoy a drink or a meal, and where golfers can relax before or after a round.
The community restaurants are about more than just food. They are places where friendships are made, neighbors connect and the community comes together. We're excited about the possibilities for Hidden Cypress and look forward to sharing more as the vision takes shape.
