A New Chapter for Golf at Sun City Hilton Head Welcoming John McLaughlin as Director of Golf Operations
Dear Sun City Hilton Head Residents,
On behalf of the Sun City Hilton Head Board of Directors and Troon, we are pleased to announce that John McLaughlin has been named Director of Golf Operations at Sun City Hilton Head, effective Monday, October 12. John brings more than 15 years of golf and club operations leadership to our community, and we are confident he will be an outstanding addition to our team.
John is a PGA Professional with a distinguished career spanning private, resort and semi-private environments. Most recently, he served as Director of Golf at The Club at Savannah Harbor in Savannah, Georgia, and prior to that as Head Golf Professional at Haig Point Golf Club on Daufuskie Island, South Carolina. Earlier in his career, John served as Director of Golf at Mountain Vista Golf Club at Sun City in Palm Desert, California, and as Corporate Sales Manager at Reynolds Lake Oconee in Greensboro, Georgia.
John holds PGA certifications in General Management, Executive Management, Golf Operations and Retail Operations, and is a Dale Carnegie graduate.
John has already begun the transition process and will be actively engaged at Sun City Hilton Head beginning October 12. Through the end of October, he will also be supporting the transition of new leadership at Savannah Harbor to ensure continuity at that property. We appreciate his professionalism in managing both commitments seamlessly, and we look forward to him being fully on the ground and settled in here at Sun City.
